There is a new website maintained by a group called “Win Without War”. It is titled “Iran War Cost Tracker” and it contains an incredible amount of information about the weapons being used in the war and the cost of each. I am not familiar with “Win Without War” so I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the estimates. However, the site identifies the source for each estimate, and the sources are entirely reputable.
The current cost estimate is about $41,666,667 per hour, a figure that is based on Pentagon data, so it is probably close to accurate (if not a little low). I will use this site as a ball-park reference until I am certain that its methodology and sources are accurate. If US ground troops are ultimately introduced into this war, the costs will likely go up dramatically.
